I graduated from Grinnell College in 2019 with a B.A. in Anthropology and in Biology. I joined the M.A. program at Rutgers in the Fall of 2019.
Hominin migration, pathology tracking, ancient DNA.
I am interested in tracking large-scale migrations through pathogenic evidence. Long-term, I hope to conduct research using both hominin specimens and isolated aDNA. However, presently, I am investigating computational comparisons between geographically similar specimens that can be done using published aDNA databases.
My masters research will rely on published ancient DNA databases. I intend to perform a variety of quantitative analyses related to distinctions between geographically distinct populations. I hope to find some pattern between distinctions that can be tied to historically known plague events (or other widespread diseases).
