  • ACADEMIC BIOGRAPHY:

    Prior to arriving to Rutgers as a student, I worked as a field assistant in Central Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia collecting orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) urine samples, nutritional intake data, and social behavioral data. In my spare time, I volunteered for Erin Vogel's environmental education program (sponsored by Rutgers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service).

  • CURRENT PROJECTS:

    My current research entails analyzing orangutan urine for indicators of physiological and endocrinological responses to habitat ecology, seasonal nutrient availability, social stress, and particularly in varying infant/offspring dependency affects on mothers.

  • RESEARCH INTERESTS:

    Wildlife conservation-ecology, non-human primate physiology, environmental education outreach, anthropogenic affects on orangutan populations.
